  1. Joelle says:

HI. Just wondering if that is a mature coconut or a young coconut.

  2. Kenny says:

This looks really nice, but isn’t it a bit high in fat or doesn’t it really matter as long as it’s from good sources? I’m only asking because I tend to feel the same ‘fat feeling’ from these fats, like back when I was consuming meat, fish and dairy (Vegan now for almost a month, and I feel great!)

Thanks for this blog btw I really like it, and very informative.

  3. Jean says:

Should the nuts be soaked or powdered if dry before blending?

  4. Mary Ann Brown says:

Thanks for the recipe. Looks delicious to one. I’ll try this one.

  5. Barbara Lowell says:

Hi Barbara, I saw your post on Fred Patenaude’s blog, talking about B12. You mentioned that you had low B12 and also brittle nails. I thought I’d see if I could make contact with you, because I have an idea that I think you might be interested in. I started using Hydrolysed Collagen, which is basically Gelatin that has been broken down into very small particles. After using this product for only a few days, I noticed that very quickly, my nails started becoming very strong and long. Previously they had been paper thin for many years. I can recommend this product highly! The brand name is GreatLakesGelatin.com . This product can be obtained from iHerb.com at a reasonable price. Also from iherb, I use Methyl Guard, which is a B12 and Folate supplement. This product uses Methylcobalamin, as well as Tetrahydrofolate, which as you probably know, are both bioavailable forms of the vitamins. It’s also contains B6 in the form of Pyridoxal 5′ -Phosphate, B1 in the form of Riboflavin 5′ -Phosphate Sodium, and TrimethylGlycine (Betaine Anhydrous). It’s a great supplement which was recommended to me by my holistic physician. My email is leoniecent at bigpond dot com if you want to get in touch with me. I hope this helps you…. all the best, Leonie in Australia
