Yummy Flat Belly Drinks

tea500-300x223We all know by now that soda, pasteurized fruit juices and even innocent-looking drinks like iced teas with sugar are some of the worst things you can do for your tummy if you are fighting to keep it flat. (Also beware of sugar-free gum as artificial sugars have been shown to cause obesity in lab rats!)

But here are some raw and delicious sweet drinks that not only taste rawsome but actually help reduce belly fat!

Iced Peppermint Tea – peppermint aids in fat digestion, and prevents bloating.

Flavored Water – infuse your water with cucumber, mint, lemon, berries and more for fresh invigorating energy.

Pineapple Smoothie – add pineapple to your smoothie for it’s Bromelain which assists in protein digestion and helps reduce a bloated belly.

Green Tea – contains certain anti-oxidants that increase fat-burning during cardio workouts.

Flaxseed – Add a tablespoon of Flaxseed oil to your smoothie or nutmilk as it contains monounsaturated fatty acids that are shown to shrink fat cells in the abdominal area.

    Hi Jinjee,

I have been trying to do a raw food diet for years. But I mess up every time :-)

I am now 39 years old and had a hysterectomy due to endometrosis and I have PCOS. Now, that I am in a pre-menopausal stage of my life, I can’t seem to get the weight off. My stomach is the biggest culprit LOL I can’t seem to get it to go down and I am drinking Kombucha and using psyllium husk in my smoothies. I work out and eat a plant based diet but I still struggle with weight loss.

Is there any advice you can give me?

Thank you for your time and consideration.
