The First Annual Raw Lifestyle Film Festival was to me a sign of the times that the Raw Lifestyle is here to stay! The fact that this festival exists and was well-attended by film-makers, audiences, and the media is a testimony to the growing interest in this infectuous and inspiring way of eating and living!

Julie Pitcher interviewing Ben Vereen

Ben Vereen is a famous actor, singer, dancer from Television – Webster’s uncle on the series Webster and much more – and Broadway Musicals -such as Pippin in which he played the lead part. He is a huge advocate of raw foods, maintains a place at The Optimum Health Institute, and even agreed to play Jesus in our next film “Jesus The Healer” based on The Essene Gospel of Peace! We’ll be featuring this amazing interview on The Natural Paradigms Channel soon!

It is my hope that this festival will inspire others to share their raw vegan journeys via film. Film is a hugely powerful medium of communication, education, and motivation. The more films we make available to the public on the raw vegan lifestyle and related issues the better for everyone!

Storm and DanThere has been a dramatic increase in the popularity of documentary films in recent years with blockbusters like Supersize Me and Farenheit 911. It seems that as mainstream news and network television becomes more predictable people are turning to documentary film when they are interested in getting the scoop on whatever they are interested in.

It was really cool meeting so many raw vegan film-makers! Jenna Norwood holding Adagio above is the star and producer of Supercharge Me, 30 Days Raw which was an awesome film that won first place for Most Motivational Raw Film. Behind her are Shannon and Luke Leonne from Ontario Canado who produced Raising Children Raises Us. Some film-makers came from as far as Australia and New Zealand. This was a truly International Film Festival!
