Feel like fruit? – Eat as much fruit as you like.
Feel like greens? – Eat a whole lotta greens.
Feel like chocolate? – Eat a little bit of chocolate.
Feel like french fries? – How about some raw jicama fries? No? Then maybe steamed and mashed potatoes with olive oil and salt?
Overall, when you have certain cravings it indicates certain needs, as follows….
Craving protein – Eat nuts, garbanzo bean humus or a lotta almond butter. Nut milks are great!
Craving salt – Could be you need minerals. Eat a big salad with sea salt/dressing.
Craving sugar – You need cleansing fruits. Try some lemon in water.
Craving chocolate – You need iron. A big salad will satisfy. Kale salad. Green juice.
Green smoothies. Wild foods and fresh herbs on your salad.
Craving fat – You probably need fat. Eat avocados. Nuts. Coconuts. Olive Oil on salads etc..
Craving carbs – You need more food. Increase bulk of salads.
Find your own balance…It doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing…no one diet fits all…no two cooked people eat exactly alike, why should raw people…eat according to your own beliefs, experiences, cravings and preferences…but know the difference between a craving for something that will be helpful and a craving for something that will be hurtful…minimize harm…and enjoy the bountiful harvest of the fall season!
